In 2000, when U.S. Highway 280 bypassed Waverly, someone said we should throw a party in the street since it suddenly had far less traffic.
That party is now known as The Old 280 Boogie, and it happens twice a year. Learn more about it and the many other gatherings that bring people to a town they were once just passing through.
